Today I found an amazing post by peak performance coach, writer and triathlete Phil Drolet. Phil is a passionate believer in our unlimited human potential and he is on a mission to help each one of us unleash that potential – and what it can bring us – into our own lives.
In his post aptly titled On Becoming Superhuman: How to Be Smarter, Increase Your IQ & Become Limitless, Drolet outlines how Neuroscience is showing us how to break through barriers of self-imposed limitation into a higher plane of performance, experience and achievement.
Dorlet outlines 10 very specific steps you can take to optimise your brain, mind and body to achieve everything you want and more. He was inspired by the film Limitless into researching how to become superhuman. He says:
Intelligence is not a set thing. The level of intelligence we are born with is only a starting point, and regardless of our genetic make-up, it is absolutely possible to get smarter, increase our IQ, and maybe even become… Limitless.
Now if you have not seen Limitless, I can recommend it too. Here is the trailer.
On reading through the details of Drolet’s 10 point list I have to say that I am already a proponent of:
3- Exercise To Be Smarter
4- Challenging Skills-Acquisition (I’m learning Spanish & practice writing with my non-dominant hand)
5- Meditation ( with binaural beats)
8- Omega 3 Intake
9- Brain Boosting Beverages (like yerba matte)
Now I’m thinking about using 1 –Luminosity brain training to flex and improve my grey matter too.
So to sum up:
Drolet’s enthusiasm for this subject and the glee that explodes off the page as he reports on his findings are infectious – read this article. Even if all you do is try out one of the IQ and brain health enhancing methods he advises your life (and brain) will change for the better.
Read the complete article here but do come back to this page and tell us what you think about it.
As always, your interaction with our posts creates a reservoir of wisdom for all our readers to benefit from so please share your thoughts, stories and questions in the comments box below and remember to tweet, like and +1 ~ Thanks.

Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Finding the
time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I
say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.
