23 Quotes about Courage, Hope and Inner Strength

What is Courage? Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet
voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow”. ~ Anonymous

Everyone of us has had to face challenges and adversity in life. If you have a beating heart, there is no getting away from it.

When times get tough, it’s helpful and heartwarming to know that “this too will pass” yet, how we respond or react to the more extreme circumstances in life, especially in times of persistent trial and trouble, truly defines us.

To be challenged is an opportunity to discover who we really are outside the mundane and day to day demands and expectation of our life.  It reshapes our personality and colours the outcomes we achieve.

I can not speak for you, but courage for me is not a virtue, it is an attribute worth cultivating.

It is not the absence of fear, heroics or bravado; but rather, it is the overcoming of fear, helplessness, complacency, and self-limitation – so that fear becomes, in the words of Robert Louis Stevenson, “the footstool to the other virtues”.

Here are 21 quotes to encourage you to face each day with courage and fortitude and embrace whatever life brings to you.
