Yes, it was love at first sight. I feel that after
all these years, I have finally found my soul mate. ~ Barbara Hershey
Some people question whether there’s such a thing as a soulmate at all. Other people insist that they’ve found theirs. But what is a soulmate?
The term is used to describe a person who brings meaning to another’s life. Somebody who they feel they are destined to be with and that fate brought them together. They usually teach life lessons and help us to understand ourselves on a much deeper level.
The connection you feel with a soulmate will be like no other you’ve felt before. You’ll feel love and recognition deep within you, for your soulmate. This connection between two souls will feel as if it has always been there, even if you’ve just met them. It’s so much more than sharing the same hobbies!
You Feel Like You’ve Known Each Other a Lot Longer
Do you have a feeling that you’ve known each other longer than you have? You may feel like this even though you’ve only known each other a matter of months, weeks, or days. Many people say that this is a sign you were both connected in another life. You may even get flashbacks of past lives that you shared with one another, or feel as if certain moments have already taken place.
You Met at The Right Time
Do you feel as if you met your partner at the perfect time? It doesn’t matter how you met, whether on an Arab dating site or in the pub. Perhaps you knew them for a while beforehand, but you were both in other relationships or doing different things. The soul is only ready to meet its mate at the right time, so you both needed to do these things before you were ready to meet one another properly. A soulmate will always reveal themselves to you at the right time, a particularly difficult period in your life, for instance.
You Know What the Other Person is Thinking
Many people can tell when their other half has had a bad day or even a great day. You can sense what they are thinking just by looking at them. In fact, you often say out loud what they are thinking first. Soulmates have an extremely deep connection, so much so that finishing sentences and feeling what they are feeling comes naturally. You could say that this connection is similar to that of twins.
You Feel for Each Other
Do you feel their pain? This could be when they are sad, angry, or hurt. You might even feel happy when they feel happy. This could be due to a deep soul connection, or the fact that you care so much about them. Either way, their happiness is your happiness, and you can feel it in your soul!
You Have the Same Long-Term Goals
Soulmates must have the same long term goals to stand the test of time. This way, you both know you’re headed in the right direction. You may have a feeling of you two against the world. You feel as if you can do anything with your soulmate by your side.
You Can Have Alone Time Without Feeling Lost
Alone time is important, and you can both take your own alone time without feeling sad or lost. You understand your partner’s needs. In fact, you’d say that you ‘get’ one another. The feeling can be hard to describe, but you can both feel it deep in your bones.
You Don’t Have Too Many Big Arguments
Disagreements are normal, even for soulmates. But you don’t have many big arguments; especially not arguments where you threaten to leave or divorce one another. You would never dream of going this far. You feel so secure in your relationship, that you feel as if they could be your guardian angel.
You Can Say Sorry
When you’re in the wrong, or even when you’re not, you can say sorry to your other half. You will never go to bed angry, or go too long without speaking to one another. You can both easily understand one another and make an effort to learn from your arguments or mistakes.
You Make One Another Better People
Soulmates complete one another. They fill in the blanks of the other person. One lock fits the other’s key. Are you both the best version of yourselves when you’re around one another? If you enrich one another’s lives and feel as if you are the best version of yourself, then you might just have found your soulmate.
You don’t necessarily need to have the same interests or want the same things just yet. You might be total opposites. A soulmate connection does not need to make sense; you just know that it’s right.
